"Shazia Mirza has won rave reviews for her frank and honest stand up comedy routines about being a young Muslim woman in Britain. "
The Daily Telegraph

"Her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy. In these fraught times, she actually manages to make being a Muslim woman seem wonderfully life-enhancingly funny. Anglo-Islamic understanding is now even more elusive than before, but if anything, that makes Shazia comedy even more valid, and even more vital."
