Motoring expert Jason Dawe is back with a brand new ITV series called Classic Gear

31st March 2009

Motoring expert Jason Dawe is back on ITV in a brand new series called Classic Gear. The ten part series to be shown on ITV4 sees him celebrating some of the world's greatest classic cars as he gets behind the wheel of everything from an Austin Allegro to a Lamborghini Countach. Classic Gear is the latest in a long line of motoring shows, including the highly successful Used Car Roadshow, which Jason has presented for ITV making him one of the most recognised motoring personalities on British TV.

Jason said “Classic Gear has been great fun to shoot and whilst for many viewers it will be a trip down memory lane it will also introduce a whole new generation of petrol heads to some of the great cars from the past 4 decades”.

In complete contrast to the Classics featured in the new series Jason has just returned from the Geneva Motor Show where he and Penny Mallory have been busy filming the newest cars on the planet for a one-off 1 hour special for ITV.

In addition to his filming commitments Jason shares his motoring views via the website www.jasondawe.com as well as writing columns for both the Sunday Times and Classics Monthly.

The Geneva Motor Show Special can be seen on ITV4 at 4.15pm on Saturday 4th April and will be repeated at 7pm on Wednesday 15th April.

The new series of Classic Gear on ITV4 starts on Wednesday 22nd April at 7pm and runs for ten weeks.
