Juan Senor is one of Europe’s leading business presenters as well as an established independent producer and director and a powerful motivational speaker. Until recently he was a presenter and senior London correspondent for International Herald Tribune Television.

Before that he was a presenter for CNBC Europe in London where he presented Europe Today, Market Watch and the Squawk Box. Juan has also worked as a presenter for Wall Street Journal TV/EBN.  Media Report which he presented at EBN was voted Europe’s Best Business Programme by a poll of viewers in 1998.

From 1990 to 1995 Juan was a foreign affairs and defence reporter for the prestigious American PBS programme: The MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour.  While at the NewsHour his exclusive interviews with Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin received an EMMY nomination.

Awards

Juan has also won numerous journalism awards – including prizes by the German Marshall Fund and Georgetown’s Institute of Political Journalism.

A Spanish national educated in Europe and the US, he completed his university degrees in New York and has an undergraduate diploma from the University of Oxford. Juan is conversant in six languages. 

In 2004 Juan skied to the North Pole to raise money for charity. The expedition has become the subject of a National Geographic special and motivational speeches to corporate and sportsmen gatherings. His presentation entitled ‘The 10 Rules of the Arctic – Leadership lessons from the ice we can apply to any business or human enterprise’ is a multimedia inspirational and motivational account of his trek to the North Pole with practical advice for any group looking to achieve challenging objectives.

In 2005 he will lead an expeditionary crossing of the Western Sahara on foot also for charity.  He has also trekked across the Gobi desert in Mongolia and climbed several 4,000-metre summits.

And in 2008, Juan plans to lead the first international expedition of disabled athletes ever to ski to the South Pole. The objective is to show that with determination any disabled person can achieve even the most difficult of challenges.

The Sunday Times Business Person of Year - The Finalists
23rd December 2009The Sunday Times has announced its list of contenders for their annual Business Person of the Year award. The finalists have shown true grit and determination - many have hauled their businesses through a rather perilous time unscathed and are survivors in the business world. The contenders are Angela Ahrendts (pictured left), Ross Brawn, Frank Chapman, Richard Cousins, Founders of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone and Evan Williams, Steve Jobs, Sam Laidlaw, Alan Mulally, Kate Swann, and John Varley.
BSkyB is Britain's most admired company 2009
2nd December 2009Media firm BSkyB landed the top spot in Management Today's Britain's Most Admired Companies awards on monday night. Led by CEO Jeremy Darroch, the organisation is one of the youngest to be handed the accolade, topping each of the nine criteria to secure the award. Matthew Gwyther, editor of Management Today said: 'It (BSkyB) is barely more than a stripling upstart amongst the great names of UK business, some of which have been around for centuries in one form or another. It has shown that a class-leading product, well marketed and slickly delivered, can continue to grow and prosper even in the most challenging circumstances.' Tesco and Johnson Mathey took the second and third slots respectively, with Cadbury, GlaxoSmithKline and Rolls-Royce trailing at numbers four, five and six.
