Nowadays Kriss Akabusi is one of the most prominent motivational speakers on the corporate scene. In his past life Kriss was famous for his achievements in athletics where his greatest individual triumph was his Gold medal in the 1990 European Championships when he also beat David Hemery’s 22 year old British Record. He began his international career in 1983 as a member of the 4 x 400 metre relay squad and will probably always be remembered for helping Britain clinch the Gold and beat the Americans in the World Championships 4 x 400 metre relay in Tokyo in 1991.
In 1992 as 3 times Olympic medallist, World, European and Commonwealth Champion Kriss was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty The Queen in her Birthday Honours List in recognition of his services to the country through athletics.
Kriss broke into TV in 1993 when he presented The Big Breakfast. This was followed rapidly with a full-time position on Record Breakers. He has gone on to appear regularly on various programmes both TV and radio, anywhere where the brief is fun and entertainment.
Drawing on his wealth of experience through his life in a children’s home and his career in the army, Kriss explains and presents the importance of Focus, Innovation and Teamwork, which he relates to the business arena in the legendary FIT4Business© presentation..
Kriss’s passion and enthusiasm when delivering from the platform are renowned. He now builds on his F.I.T©, the speech that has made his name in the corporate world. Kriss uses the Hudson Institutes “Cycle Of Change” as a simple matrix to pour in his energy and experience and expand on the FIT© speech. This provides a suitable tool and anchor for organisations and individuals to work through complex change.
