Television Career

Patrick’s Irish break was hosting his own live show “PK Tonight” which won him an RTS Award for Best Regional Presenter. His first network prime time show followed, hosting “After The Break” on BBC1, but it was the Channel 4 show “Last Chance Lottery”, that made him a household name, which he followed with “The National Lottery Big Ticket” (BBC1).

His extremely successful chat show “Patrick Kielty Almost Live” (Green Inc. Prods) has now enjoyed five series on BBC1.

Patrick went on to front a new quiz show, "Stupid Punts" (CHX Prods), which aired on BBC Choice and BBC2.  In 2002 he began co-presenting BBC1's "Fame Academy" (Endemol) with Cat Deeley - Patrick and Cat have also hosted 2 series of "Celebrity Fame Academy", in aid of Comic Relief!

Patrick co-presented the first series of the hugely popular “Celebrity Love Island” for ITV with Kelly Brook.  The second series, co-hosted with Fearne Cotton, dropped the word 'Celebrity' from its title even though the casterways include a number of celebrities such as Chris Brosnan (son of Pierce) and Lady Victoria Hervey.
