"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving a keynote address at the Beacon Learning Exchange for Olympics/Paralympics Games Legacy. Through the story of your own personal experience and journey as an internationally successful athlete, you introduced some very hard hitting and challenging issues for the local government audience and its partners. Everyone who heard your address in the audience was re-energised by your lively delivery and sense of humour. Your concluding messages that anyone can be 're-inspired', the importance of the inner self, and the positive channeling of personal potential and positive energy did not go unheard"

Your concluding messages that anyone can be re-inspired, the importance of the inner self and the positive channelling of personal potential and positive energy did not go unheard. Equally importantly, your challenge to local government that we make sport accessible to all, and seek meaningful partnerships with local disability groups and schools to make us more innovative and open minded reasonates loudly. You will be pleased to hear that delegate feedback shows the event was a great success, with plenty of stimulating discussion and lively debate throughout the day. Your contribution and support for this event was very much appreciated. Finally, I would like to pass over a personal thank you from the members of Beacon team at the IDeA, who have posted up the signed photo you gave them."
