David Micthell is one half of the multi award winning comedy act alongside his partner Robert Webb.  He is a seasoned professional on the corproate scene and will bring his unique style to hosting an awards evening or performing a comedy set

Mitchell and Webb rise to fame

David Mitchell and Robert Webb first met at Cambridge University in 1994. They achieved fame and success through their multi award winning and critically acclaimed PEEP SHOW for Channel 4.

They also have had great success with their BAFTA nominated sketch show THAT MITCHELL & WEBB LOOK, a show they have also written for BBC2.

They have written extensively for television and their credits include The Jack Docherty Show (Channel 5), Yes Sir, I can boogie (Radio 4), Children’s Hour with Armstrong and Miller (Radio 4), Armstrong and Miller (Channel 4), the 11 O’Clock Show (Channel 4), Big Train (BBC2) and TV To Go (BBC1); and as writer/performers for Comedy Nation (BBC2) and Bruiser (BBC2). They also wrote and performed their own sitcom pilot Daydream Believers for Channel 4 and their own sketch show for Choice called The Mitchell and Webb Situation.

Stand Up and Film Stars

In 2007 Robert and David turned their hands to becoming film stars in the eagerly anticipated feature film MAGICIANS.  In 2006  when they performed a sell-out stand up tour throughout the UK.

For the stage they have written and performed several two man comedy shows such as Innocent Millions Dead or Dying ( a wry look at the post-apocalyptic age with songs)(Pleasance 1997), You’re Warm, Madam (The Grace Theatre), Shopping and St***-Up (Pleasance 1998), The Mitchell & Webb Story (Assembly Rooms 1999) and The Mitchell & Webb Clones (Assembly Rooms 2001). Also for the stage they have written and starred in two pantomimes, Oedipus the Pantomime and Macbeth and the Beanstalk (both Pleasance, London). They were co-devisers and performers of the critically acclaimed Progress in Flying Machines (BAC).

Individual Success for David

David has also had much individual success with Taming of the Shrew for BBC1 and appeared alongside Michelle Pfeiffer in the provisionally entitled I Could Never Be Your Woman, which filmed in LA. His guest appearances on a number of successful panel shows, including Have I got News For You and QI have led to his being offered the captaincy of a new panel show entitled Unbelievable for BBC1.
