After many years success in Edinburgh, Alun Cochrane is often to be seen on television comedy panel games and, as a stand-up comedian, Alun Cochrane is popular on the corporate after dinner circuit.

In high demand on the UK and international comedy circuit, Alun Cochrane has appeared on a range of TV and radio shows including BBC Two’s Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Mock The Week, BBC One's Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Have I Got News For You, Channel 4's 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Radio 4’s Just A Minute as well as various stand-up spots on the Paramount Comedy Channel.

Award-winning Comedian

In 2004 his debut Edinburgh solo show ‘My Favourite Words in My Best Stories’ garnered him a handful of four and five star reviews and a Perrier Best Newcomer Award nomination to go alongside the Writer’s Guild Award For Comedy.

Since then Alun has performed a further five acclaimed sell out shows at the Edinburgh Festival. After returning to Edinburgh in 2009 Alun takes his new show ‘Alun Cochrane Is a Daydreamer…(At Night)' on a full national tour.

15th December 2009Jonathan Ross once again hosted the British Comedy Awards 2009 on Saturday night. Terry Wogan received a standing ovation when he was presented with The Lifetime Achievement award and Outnumbered staring Hugh Dennis & Claire Skinner won 3 awards including best comedy sitcom. Other winners included Harry Hill and Michael McIntyre, and Peter Kay received an Outstanding Contribution to Comedy award
Outnumbered picks up 5 nominations for the British Comedy Awards
18th November 2009Jonathan Ross is returning to host this year's British Comedy Awards, with BBC Comedy Outnumbered picking up 5 nominations. All three of the show's child stars are up for an award, as well as Claire Skinner who plays the mother in the family comedy. Alan Carr and Michael McIntyre also have high hopes for awards with three nominations apiece.
