She may be virtually everywhere you look on British TV but now the Americans look set to get their fill of Myleene Klass. The presenter is set to become a major star in the US after being asked to present the American version of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
Despite being virtually unknown in the U.S, Myleene has been offered a lucrative six-figure deal to co-host the new primetime version of the show for NBC. It is hoped the deal will catapult her into the realm of high earning British TV stars in the US, which already includes Cat Deeley, Ashley Jensen and Anna Friel.
It is understood that by accepting the US TV deal she would have to postpone current work engagements with Marks & Spencer, Channel 4 show Ten Years Younger, Classic FM show and CNN.
Myleene will have to fly out to Central America next weekend to start filming the show. Myleene will be in Costa Rica for all of June where she would team up with an as yet unnamed male co-host.
NBC is bringing back the format for I'm a Celebrity despite the fact that when ABC aired an American version in 2003 it only lasted one series. The US show will start on June 1 with a two hour premiere and the show will be aired over four weeks.
Many of the contestants will be unknown to British viewers, although some will remember former supermodel Janice Dickinson who appeared in the UK version of I'm a Celebrity. The line up also includes American Idol singer Sanjaya Malakar, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt from The Hills on MTV.
