4 Poofs & a Piano are one of the funniest and genuinely talented cabaret acts on the alternative music scene. Described as "more hairdresser than barbershop", 4 Poofs & a Piano first performed at Soho's exclusive moving-shaking, media-hothouse, drinking-hole ‘The Groucho Club’, back in the year 2000.

Jonathan Ross - their biggest fan

The boys were spotted by the producers of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and were invited to become the resident band.  As a result they have provided musical introductions for such esteemed pop luminaries as ELTON JOHN, PAUL MCARTNEY, LIZA MINNELLI and KYLIE MINOGUE to name a few.

Following on from the Jonathan Ross

Following on from the success of the Jonathan Ross series, the Poofs have made numerous VIP appearances at conferences and award ceremonies for such notable clients as Microsoft, KPMG, HBOS, Nationwide Building Society, JLT Solutions and Hambro Investment Bank to name but a few as well as participating in the Grand opening of a new Selfridges in Birmingham and the opening of the new Kitsch Lounge Riot at The Clapham Grand.

Further, the boys have been busy, busy, busy appearing as invited TV guests on the likes of The Harry Hill Show, The Terry and Gaby Show, Celebrity Fame Academy and the famous ‘Kelly Show’ in Ireland.

After broadcasting live with Simon Mayo on Radio 5 Live with the release of their Christmas single, the appropriately named, ‘Camp Up Your Christmas’, they received great interest from many of the major radio stations.

After securing a vast fan base the guys have been performing at various small theatres nationwide reaching a large and varied audience.  They are also in demand at universities playing up and down Britain, having had a cult status bestowed upon them by students.

The group have performed at the world renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the notorious Pleasance Courtyard Cabaret Bar.  It was the culmination of their first live tour: ‘NEVER MIND THE BOTOX’.  In 2006 they toured with the legendary Joan Collins before returning to Edinburgh for another sell-out run with their show 'STRICTLY NEUROTIC'.

Their reputation is founded on a distinctive array of vocal techniques and audacious harmonies, which combine to produce individual and quirky interpretations of standard ballads, show tunes, chart hits, and classics as well as their own original material.

"What an impact 4 Poofs made.  From the moment they arrived onsite they filled the auditorium with energy and creativity.  They were well prepared and rehearsed and we loved their attention to detail.  What's more they delivered far beyond expectations, bringing costumes, props and a fully rehearsed dance routine for the finale.  4 Poofs did an excellent job for us and we will definitely be looking for a reason to work with them again."
