A confident and natural speaker, despite the tender years, suitable for all types of audience and occassions.
When Jake was just fourteen years old he set himself the challenge of becoming the youngest person to climb the 7 Summits; the highest mountain on each continent. On the 4th June 2005 he achieved his dream, standing on top of Everest; he became the youngest Briton at just 21 to conquer the world’s highest peak via the difficult North Col route as well as the youngest man in the world to complete the 7 Summits, breaking several climbing records on the way. On Tuesday 1st August 2006, Jake Meyer and his team of six, young British adventurers smashed the existing World Record for climbing the 48 highest peaks of Continental USA in the shortest time possible.
Jake studied Environmental Science at Bristol University an still finds time to climb around the world. Studying the environment has been a natural progression after seeing some of the most beautiful and fragile parts of the earth at such a young age. Jake has always been aware of man’s effect on nature having been brought up on an organic farm. As an Army Scholar, he plays an active part in the Bristol University Officer Training Corps (UOTC), and is looking forward to going to RMA Sandhurst. Jake has a real passion for action and adventure. Jake has shown the ability to organise from an early age; to plan and start his five year mission at the age of fourteen is quite remarkable.
Born on 20th January 1984 in central London, he was educated at Marlborough College and began climbing at 13. Aged 15, he watched the dawn of the new millennium with his father, from his first summit, Kilimanjaro. At 18, he climbed Mount Elbrus in Southern Russia, Europe's highest peak. In 2002, he was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust travelling fellowship to climb Denali, Aconcagua and Kosciusko, the highest peaks in North and South America and Australia respectively. Jake is an Ambassador for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme and has presented Gold Awards at Buckingham Palace.
Jake brings his youth and vigour to speaking; his confident and natural style has held the interest of even the toughest business audience. He has been a regular speaker at events like The Times Destinations show at Olympia and Birmingham NEC as well as the keynote speaker for senior management events for Royal Bank of Scotland.
"Unfortunately, getting to the top is only half the story - you have to get back down afterwards."

“What was great about Jake was his ability to motivate and enthuse the audience in Moscow. We had excellent feedback, everyone thought Jake was an excellent speaker. He is able to deliver his message with drive, energy, passion, dedication and with a joke. He is a perfect fit with our young and ambitious professionals. The synergy was really there, and the audience was really energized by his presentation. Excellent work and a great story. Absolutely to be recommended and Jake clearly has a great future ahead of him”.

“Jake's talk was fantastic; please pass on to him my appreciation. He is an extremely engaging, confident and amiable speaker and told a great story. The kids warmed to him immediately, and he may well have inspired some budding mountaineers. Thanks again, I can wholeheartedly recommend Jake to any Sixth Form. (April 24th 2007)
