Renowned Achorman & Presenter

Eamonn Holmes' journalistic career spans 30 years and he is the longest-serving breakfast television anchorman in Britain – if not the world! He hosts the 3-hour “Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes” programme on Sky News, Monday to Thursday mornings.  Eamonn’s reign as the king of breakfast television stems back to the launch of the newly created GMTV in 1993, which he presented for 13 years.

Diversity is Key to Eamonn

Outside of his early starts, he continues to host a wide variety of programmes on all channels, appealing to both men and women of all ages.

“The Eamonn Holmes Show” on Radio Five Live from 9-11am on Saturday mornings has set new listening records. He co-hosts the Friday edition of ITV1’s “This Morning”  alongside his real life partner Ruth Langsford.

Eamonn Holmes has presented top-rated, prime-time quiz shows including The National Lottery Jet Set for BBC1, Sudo-Q for BBC Two and The Rich List for Fox TV in America.  He has recently fronted ITV’s prime time series “The Feelgood Factor”, along with Myleene Klass.

Eamonn has won the Television, Radio & Industry Club’s award for Best Satellite and Digital TV Personality for two years running and has received honorary doctorates from Queens University Belfast  and Staffordshire University.

Father of four Eamonn is a news and sports junkie and a passionate Manchester United fan but more than that, he has a great knowledge and love of soccer, as well as several other sports. He divides his time between Belfast, where he lives, London, where he works, and Manchester, where he worships!

10th March 2010The 2010 Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards, were held yesterday at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Sir Terry Wogan was awarded the gong for Radio Personality at the awards and Barbara Windsor was presented with the TRIC Lifetime Achievement award. Tess Daly picked up the TV Reality Award for Strictly Come Dancing, Harry Hill won TV personality, and Oz Clarke and James May scooped the award for TV arts/documentary programme for Oz and James Drink to Britain.
Sir Trevor McDonald wins Top Newcaster at Tric Awards
11th March 2009The broadcaster, who came out of retirement last year to relaunch the ITV's News at Ten, saw off competition from Fiond Bruce and Fiona Phillips to win the top award. The ceremony held yesterday, also named Strictly Come Dancing as the best Reality TV Series, and gave a special award to Have I Got News For You, which returns for it's 37th series next month.

However, Sir Terry will not be quitting the airwaves altogether as he has an exciting new show lined up. The DJ said this was the hardest decision he has ever had to make in his broadcasting career. Wake up to Wogan has an army of fans, 8 million of whom tune in on a daily basis to hear his idiosyncratic musings.
