As the stars of BBC1’s primetime show, ‘Passport to The Sun’, the Vernon Sisters - Rebecca, Sophia and Tasmin Penn-Critten - known also known as Pink Champagne, are in constant demand throughout Europe.
They have performed with classical conductors Simon Rattle and Mark Elder at London’s Albert Hall, with TV comedy superstar Jon Culshaw at the prestigious Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Awards and to 19,000 fans at Sheffield United’s football stadium ‘Bramall Lane’. The girls are regularly booked for events and functions at prestigious five star hotels and casinos including the Marriott, Hilton and Grosvenor chains.
Coming from a family of eight generations of musicians, the sisters were classically trained from an early age. Despite performing with the CBSO (City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra) as teenagers, they quickly realized that jazz was in their blood. Seduced by sultry vocals and that ‘swing’ thing, they decided to follow in their father’s footsteps, forming Pink Champagne to recapture the sound of a bygone era.
Currently working on their latest album, the sisters have also recorded with recent Mute Records signing ‘Richard Hawley’ and hugely successful band ‘Boy on a Dolphin’.
Professionalism and felxibility are guaranteed to provide entertainment ranging from atmospheric background music, for small intimate gatherings, through to the main event, a Dinner-Dance Band:
