Boris Johnson, MP & Mayor of London, is a well-known writer and broadcaster and a superb after dinner speaker.
Born in New York in 1964, Boris was educated at Eton, (King's Scholar) and Balliol College, Oxford (Brackenbury Scholar in Classics), where he was President of the Union.
After being a trainee reporter with the Times and the Wolverhampton Express and Star, he joined the Daily Telegraph, serving successively as a leader and feature writer, European Community correspondent and Assistant Editor. In 1997 he was voted "What the Papers Say" Political Commentator of the Year and in 1998 he was mystifyingly designated Pagan Federation of Great Britain National Journalist of the Year.
Appointed Editor of The Spectator in August 1999, Boris Johnson was voted Editors' Editor of the Year and Columnist of the Year at the British Press Awards.

Boris Johnson fought Clwyd South in the 1997 General Election and was elected to represent Henley at the 2001 General Election. He has previously served as Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party and as Shadow Minister for the Arts and Higher Education.
Boris Johnson is the Mayor of London winning a hotly contested battle against former Mayor Ken Livingstone and Liberal Demorcrat candidate Brian Paddock.
