Darren Jordan is a very experienced and talented news presenter, he is vastly experienced at corporate work, whether that be conference facilitation, awards presenting or media launches
Darren Jordon is a senior news presenter for the 24-hour Al Jazeera English news and current affairs channel based in Doha, Qatar. He regularly presents the main Newshour programmes and also anchors Inside Story, Al Jazeera’s in-depth analytical interview programme. He is also the “voice” of the channel, and his distinctive accent can be heard on many of the on-air promotions.
Prior to joining Al Jazeera, Darren spent 8 years at the BBC in London, and was one of the Corporation’s most recognised news anchors. He has presented all of the main BBC news bulletins, as well as anchoring BBC News 24 and BBC World. He is best known for presenting the BBC’s One O’clock news, as well as the flagship 10 O’clock News.
In addition to presenting the news, Darren has worked with the BBC World Service Trust, in running overseas media training projects. He has supervised numerous presenter and reporter training courses, most recently in Nigeria, Serbia, Syria and Lebanon. Darren was educated in the West Indies, and at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
