Telly babe Fearne Cotton hits the big time!

The bubbly blonde, 25, has signed a big-money deal with NBC to host The Guinness Book Of World Records – Live! She follows in the footsteps of ex-ITV host Cat, 31, who was lured to Hollywood two years ago.Cat has been a huge success across the pond, being paid a reported £2million to front So You Think You Can Dance? She has also hosted a slot on the popular Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

Fearne’s two-hour Guinness Records special will feature a countdown of the craziest records ever held. The show will end with a live motorcycle stunt in which Clint Ewing, 27, will try to ride through the longest-ever tunnel of fire. The Xtra Factor host Fearne was picked for the show ahead of a string of American presenters. She flew to LA this week to meet network execs and rehearse for the programme, which airs in the US on Sunday.

A pal said last night: “It’s a huge opportunity for her, loads of British stars try to make it in Hollywood but only some succeed. She will be getting primetime exposure on one of the country’s biggest channels. There is even talk of her doing other things after the Guinness show. It’s a dream come true.”
