Myleene Klass to host Classical Brit Awards

Myleene Klass is to host this year's Classical Brit Awards.

The ceremony will take place at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 8.

"The Classical Brits is the biggest event in the classical calendar. To be the host is a personal highlight in my career," Klass said.

"I'm really looking forward to presenting a ceremony that is so close to my heart and I'm sure it will be a magical evening."

Former Hear'Say singer Klass is a classically trained pianist and hosts her own radio show on Classic FM.

Her latest album, Music For Mothers, has topped the classical compilation chart.
