David Walliams and his comedy partner Matt Lucas took their Sir Bernard Chumley and Friends show to the Edinburgh Festival in 1996 and 1997.  Following this, they embarked on a sell-out UK tour throughout 1997 and appeared at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada in 1999.  In between his very busy television and writing schedule, David is available for corporate events.

Television

His appearances on television include the drama Attachments, Spaced, The League of Gentlemen and, recently, Cruise of the Gods with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. But it's for Rock Profiles and Little Britain that Walliams, along with Lucas, is best known.

Little Britain

The radio series Little Britain (written and performed by Lucas and Walliams) transferred as an eight-episode TV series to BBC Three in September 2003. Following a repeat run on BBC2, the series has won numerous gongs and Walliams himself scooped Best Comedy Newcomer at the 2003 British Comedy Awards.

Awards

  • Silver Sony Award for the Radio Show
  • 2004 Royal Television Society Award
  • 2004 BAFTA Best Comedy Series
  • 2005 BAFTA Best Comedy Series
  • 2005 BAFTA Best Comedy Performance

Corporate Events

Although available in principle for corporate events, in practice it is often difficult due to Matt and David's very busy schedule.  If they are unavailable for your event, but you want the experience of Little Britain, Speakers Corner are proud to present the Little Britain Lookalikes - a tribute act which comes pretty close to the real thing.  Click here for more information.
