CHRIS MOON walks the talk. He speaks with humour and passion and his bespoke motivational presentations have inspired people around the world. He has survived kidnap, threatened execution, being blown up, losing his limbs and most of his blood. He ran a marathon less than a year after leaving hospital, tested artificial limbs to new limits, has run most of the world’s toughest ultra distance races, climbed mountains, crossed countries on foot, written books and most importantly used his experience to understand and illustrate the process of achievement.
Chris Moon challenges the concept of limitation. This former army officer with operational experience who worked for a charity specializing in clearing landmines and the debris of war in Asia and Africa and is one of the few westerners to have survived kidnap in Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge, negotiating not only his own release, but also that of his two Khmer staff after an ordeal of threatened execution in which he never assumed the role of victim.
In Mozambique he was blown up walking in a supposedly cleared area resulting in the loss of his lower right arm and leg. He survived through sheer determination and fitness. Less than a year after leaving hospital he completed the London Marathon and a Masters Degree in Security Management. He's done numerous marathons and many of the world's toughest ultra-marathons including the Great Sahara Run and Badwater the 135 mile continuous ultra through Death Valley to the mountains. He's taken parties to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and run the length of Cambodia to raise funds for charities assisting the disabled.
For ten years he's been inspiring audiences around the world on motivation, mindset and leadership. His individually customised speeches are filled with humour, passion and wisdom and he has top client ratings. Chris continually challenges his own limits and has an ongoing series of events in which he walks the talk.
Chris Moon has a fascination and a passion with the process of achievement, because as he needs to understand it more than most! With Health, Safety and Security, Chris has experience of working in high risk environments and a Masters in Security Management. He's presented to large utility and oil companies on the mindsets around health and safety and security issues and makes what is sometimes thought to be a dry subject uplifting, humorous and relevant.
