Jonathan Fenby is an accomplished After Dinner and Keynote speaker recounting his times spent in the Far-East specifically in Hong Kong and his views on the world and the politics of Hong Kong and China.
Jonathan has had a distinguished career in international journalism. He has held posts as editor of The Observer in Britain, The South China Morning Post, Reuters World Service and a Director of Guardian Newspapers, he has also held senior editorial positions with The Economist.
He is the author of books on Europe and Asia and of many articles on both continents, particularly in China, and broadcasts frequently for stations including the BBC, CNN, CNBC, FR2, Radio France, and CBC. A Director of the European Journalism Centre, he was made both a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) and Chevalier of the French Ordre National du Merite for services to journalism. His survey of contemporary France, 'On The Brink', is an authoritative account of that country, hailed by the New York Times for its 'fascinating reporting' and by the Wall Street Journal for its 'searching diagnosis'.
He has relatively recently published his new book ‘Alliance: The Inside Story of How Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill Won One War and Began Another’
