Catherine Elizabeth "Cat" Deeley is one of the most recognisable televisoner presenters on British screens. The former fashion model, who rose to fame at the age of 21 also has a successful US career after first appearing in the Fox hit series, So You Think You Can Dance in 2006.

MTV Presenter & Other Credits

Deeley became an MTV UK presenter in 1997 co-hosting with Edith Bowman. From 1998 to 2002, she was co-host with Ant & Dec on the Saturday morning children's show SMTV Live and also hosted its spin off shows CD:UK and CD:UK Hotshots. In 2001, she won a Children's BAFTA award for Best Presenter and appeared in an episode of the BBC's Happiness. In 2002, Deeley appeared in a television commercial for the iconic British high street store Marks and Spencer.

Other programmes she has hosted include The Record of the Year, Fame Academy, The 2004 BRIT Awards and Stars in Their Eyes, as well as a weekly show on London's Capital FM and BBC Choice series Roadtripping both with former MTV colleague Edith Bowman. In 2003 she became patron of Great Ormond Street Hospital, and in 2005 she played herself in an episode of Little Britain and provided the voice of "Loretta Geargrinder" in the UK version of the film Robots replacing Natasha Lyonne.

For a period, Deeley was the face of Shape Water and number of Garnier Fructis products, appearing in print and television advertising in the UK and Ireland.

In 2007 Deeley was one of many celebrity speakers appearing at the Concert For Diana. The event was watched by over an estimated 500 million viewers worldwide, which was held at the new Wembley Stadium.

US Success

Since presenting So You Think You Can Dance, Cat managed to charm Jay Leno while a guest on The Tonight Show, in to inviting her to be one of the show's regular correspondents. Cat has also joined ABC's Good Morning America, acting as their entertainment contributor. She presented American Idol:UK for ITV, where she interviewed the contestants, judges and guest artists and brought a bit of her English charm to the show for the UK audiences. Additionally, in 2006, Deeley interviewed Kylie Minogue for a television special which aired in the United Kingdom on Sky One, in Australia on Channel Nine  and BBC America.

Deeley also had a stint as a guest reporter on NBC's Tonight Show presenting Fox's New Year's Eve 2006 special live from Times Square. She is also an entertainment contributor for ABC News, providing coverage from various awards shows including the Golden Globes and the Grammy and Academy Awards.

Christine Bleakley was in tears this morning as she completed her daunting bid to waterski across the world's busiest shipping lane. Despite falling eight times into the 4C freezing sea, she made it across 22 miles of choppy ocean in just one hour 40 minutes. Setting off for the French coast at 7.46am, The One Show presenter was good spirits supported by her co-host Adrian Chiles. Christine was determined to complete her challenge whatever the weather after raising thousands of pounds for Sport Relief.
