Russell Brand & Chris Moyles pick up Sony award

Comic Russell Brand has won a Gold award for his BBC Radio 2 show at this year's Sony awards. Radio 1's Chris Moyles took home the prize for Best Breakfast Show, beating Johnny Vaughan from Capital 95.8.

Rushdie favourite for best Booker Prize winner award

Salman Rushdie is the favourite to win the Best of the Booker prize after his novel "Midnight's Children" was shortlisted for the award. Six books chosen from the 41 winners of the highly-regarded Booker Prize are up for the award.
