Justin Webb is currently the BBC's North America Editor. His career with the BBC has combined presentation of major news programmes on both radio and TV (The World Tonight, BBC Breakfast News and the One O'Clock News) with work 'in the field', as Europe correspondent. He is an experienced conference facilitator and keynote speaker.

Life at the BBC

Justin studied at London School of Economics, where he was editor of the student newspaper, The Beaver. After graduating, Justin joined the BBC Graduate Scheme in Northern Ireland and worked for BBC Radio Ulster based in Belfast. He moved to London to work on Radio Four’s Today Programme, before moving to BBC Television to work as a reporter as then as a Foreign Affairs Correspondent. During this time he was dispatched to report from cities such as Washington, Moscow and Jerusalem. He was based in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War and has also worked in Bosnia.

Justin Webb is one the BBC’s top presenters. He first came to prominence when he presented Breakfast News between 1992 – 1997. On weekday mornings between 6.30 am and 9.00 am, Justin, interviewed everyone from the Prime Minister to top sportsmen and women.

Justin went onto present the main BBC TV News at the weekends as well as Radio 4's The World Tonight. In July 1999 he took up an appointment as Europe Correspondent for the BBC and was based in Brussels until August 2002. During that time he reported on the workings of the European Commission and parliament, the politics surrounding Britain’s decision on whether to join the single currency and the enlargement of the European Union.

North America Editor

Justin was made US Correspondent in 2001 and moved to Washington. In 2007 he was made the BBC's North America Editor, a role newly created in time for the American Presidential election in 2008. He also presents regular pieces for CNN USA edition, and his BBC pieces are often syndicated across the networks.

Justin's experience of handling a live television programme and interviewing key people, ensuring he gets to the heart of the story, makes him an obvious choice for hosting corporate seminars and making keynote speeches.
