Monty Halls has a wealth of experiences and stories upon which he draws to deliver exceptional and humorous motivational and after dinner speeches.  He also speaks on change with respect to the world we live in relating it to the modern day business environment

Marine Biologist and Television Presenter

A marine biologist, explorer, travel writer and speaker Monty has led numerous expeditions and projects throughout the world - including leading a multi-national team to the site of a sunken city off India in 2001, and three circumnavigations of the earth seeking out the greatest encounters in the oceans. It is his marine expertise that brought Monty to our screens. Presenting credits include Channel 4's Centre of the Earth, Five's Great Ocean Adventure (there is now an accompanying book published by Full Circle), and Sky's Total Adventure.

Projects in 2007 have included presenting Perfect Weapon for National Geographic and co-hosting ITV’s London Boat Show.

Team Leader and Explorer

His DVD documentary of divers seeking out the greatest wrecks on earth – Totally Wrecked – now sells internationally and he has also published his second diving book: Dive – The Ultimate Guide (Ultimate Sports Publications). Monty operates the adventure travel company, Full Circle Expeditions, and is also a leading motivational speaker

On the back of his exploits as a team leader and explorer, Monty was asked to take part in “Superhuman” – a year long extensive scientific examination of elite human performance screened by Channel 4. Pitted against astronauts, world class athletes, entrepreneurs and fellow explorers, Monty was declared the winner in the live final watched by several million viewers.

This inevitably led to further work in television, and Monty has now presented programmes for the BBC, Channel 5, the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Sky Television. Perhaps the most notable of these is “Great Ocean Adventures”, a ten part series that aired in late 2005. The strong viewing figures and excellent reviews led to a second series being commissioned..

His other projects include being on the west coast of Scotland, where he lived in a tiny bothy on a beach for six months, following in the footsteps of his hero Gavin Maxwell. This series aired on BBC2 in 2009 as "Monty Halls Great Escape", hitting viewing figures of over 3 million. He returned in early 2010 from a further six months as a nature ranger in the Outer Hebrides, an experience recorded for the second series on BBC2 called - catchily - "Monty Halls Great Hebridean Escape".

Royal Marines Office and Public Speaker

Monty also served as a Royal Marines officer, working in diverse environments such as the Arctic and in delicate political situations such as the training of Nelson Mandela’s repatriated guerilla armies in South Africa.

Monty speaks for motivational, management and after-dinner functions.  Drawing on experiences gained through 8 years as a Royal Marine Officer and his many subsequent expeditions, he is used to leading diverse teams in extreme conditions.  He has motivated teams and enabled them to achieve extraordinary results.

Monty is ideally positioned to speak on sustainability and environmental issues through his experiences as a marine biologist and explorer.
