Adit Jain is an eminent keynote speaker and international business speaker, specialising in emerging markets in the US, Europe, and Asia - particularly India.  As Managing Director of the India Missions Association (IMA) and chairman of the India CEO Forum, Adit Jain advises multinationals on their India strategy and is also a prolific writer on politics, international affairs, economics, the environment, and business practices.

India Missions Association

Adit Jain is the Managing Director of the IMA, a business information company established in 1994.  In this role, Adit has advised many multinational corporations towards the development of their India strategy. He has successfully handled assignments in the areas of policy amendment, entry strategy planning, location audits, competitor analysis, scenario planning, and joint ventures.

Adit chairs IMA India’s CEO Forum which has over 550 corporations on a retainer relationship. He is also Chairman of IMA’s service for senior finance professionals – The CFO Forum - which has about 500 member firms.

Lazard India - Investment Bank

Previously Adit worked with Lazard India, an investment bank, as Vice President & Head, Corporate Advisory Services, and was responsible for the Mergers and Acquisitions business.

Adit is a frequent speaker at emerging market seminars across the world and he regularly provides briefings to Boards of major international corporations in the US, Europe and Asia.  He is often called as an expert witness, at commercial litigations in the United States and in Parliament in India and Australia.

Adit has authored hundreds of articles and papers in the domain of politics, international affairs, economics, the environment and business practices. He is the Editor of IMA’s Quarterly India Update and of CFO Connect, an IMA Group publication, and the firm’s principal economic commentator.  He also writes an online business, politics, and economics blog entitled 'Perspectives', so as a keynote speaker he is always up to speed with the latest developments.

Non-Executive Director

Adit is a non-executive Director on the Corporate Board of the Sanmar Group; Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited; PR Pundit Public Relations Ltd and BMR Associates. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Centre for Civil Society, an independent free-market think tank.

Early Days

Previously, he worked in the United Kingdom with Wild Barnsley Engineering and Stag Holdings.  Adit has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, India and a master’s degree in business administration from the Henley Management College. He is a Member of the Bombay Natural History Society, the National Geographic Society and a keen wildlife photographer.

BSkyB is Britain's most admired company 2009
2nd December 2009Media firm BSkyB landed the top spot in Management Today's Britain's Most Admired Companies awards on monday night. Led by CEO Jeremy Darroch, the organisation is one of the youngest to be handed the accolade, topping each of the nine criteria to secure the award. Matthew Gwyther, editor of Management Today said: 'It (BSkyB) is barely more than a stripling upstart amongst the great names of UK business, some of which have been around for centuries in one form or another. It has shown that a class-leading product, well marketed and slickly delivered, can continue to grow and prosper even in the most challenging circumstances.' Tesco and Johnson Mathey took the second and third slots respectively, with Cadbury, GlaxoSmithKline and Rolls-Royce trailing at numbers four, five and six.
