Ian Keable

Ian Keable is a magician and mind reader specialising in comedy and audience participation. He is best known for his Cabaret Act and as an After Dinner Speaker for Companies at Corporate Events and Functions. As well as his Stand-up Act he also performs Close-up Magic and Close-up Mind Reading. He is known as much for his Wit, Repartee and good natured interaction with his audience, as he is for his Sleight of Hand Magic and Mind Reading Skills.

Ian has been a full-time professional entertainer for 10 years, after giving up his career as an Accountant. Having honed his comedic skills in the Comedy Clubs (including Jongleurs and The Comedy Store) and his magic and mind reading abilities as a member of the Inner Magic Circle, he now performs primarily at Corporate and similar functions.

He works all venues, from Hotels to Conference Centres, Restaurants to Private Houses and Clubs; and is equally at home performing at Product Launches, Trade Shows, Golf Days or Sales Conferences.   Ian Keable combines sleight of hand with sleight of mind. Hilariously funny one moment with his dry wit and audience participation, and completely baffling the next.

Cabaret Act and After Dinner Speaking

Ian performs feats of mind-reading that have you worrying how he did his amazing feats long after you have stopped laughing. Cards merely thought of, appear in sealed envelopes; one word chosen from an entire newspaper is correctly predicted; the hands on a spectator’s watch moves to a selected time. But this is merely the appetiser.

He then permits two members of his audience to try their own hand at the psychic guessing game - using their own money and a box of matches. Their abilities are less successful and what follows is one of the funniest pieces of comedy you are likely to witness: suffice to say that everybody watching are convinced that somehow Ian has hypnotised his volunteers into behaving so hilariously. So much so that Ian is often accused of using stooges.

What is close-up mind reading?

Close-up mind reading is a new concept in Corporate entertainment. It appears quite incredible that anyone should be able to tell you information of a personal nature; or to predict something in advance that has yet to be thought of. And yet Ian Keable performs these and similar feats which, rationally, are wholly outside the realms of possibility.

Where can close-up mind reading be performed?

The easy answer is that it can be done in any place where people are gathered together. Ian is flexible and versatile enough to work under all conditions, whether it be walking around a room at a reception or performing from table to table during a meal.
