ALLYSON STEWART-ALLEN is an international marketing and strategy consultant advising European and US organisations growing their presence on either side of the Atlantic.  Allyson applies her fluency in French and German and several years’ consulting experience to the company she founded, International Marketing Partners Consultants, through her employment with blue-chip consulting firms Price Waterhouse, PA Consulting Group and Hay Management Consultants.

She is the author of Working with Americans (FT Prentice Hall), the first-ever book exclusively about the US business culture, that helps professionals improve relationships and negotiating effectiveness with their American business partners, bosses and colleagues. The book received a great response with Allyson invited to talk about the book on Sky, various BBC radio programmes and at the Hay-on-Wye literary festival. Notably, Working with Americans was the first ‘business’ book to feature at the festival.

Allyson advises notable companies in e-business (b2b and b2c), professional services (including legal, financial and retail), retailing, food & drink, travel, consumer goods and industrial sectors, to name a few.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from the University of Southern California, as well as an MBA from Claremont Graduate School under the direct tutelage of Dr. Peter Drucker.

Allyson’s expert advice to US and European organisations typically enables them to achieve their marketing and business development strategies, which typically includes clients’ pursuit of strategic alliances, organic growth, their divestments and/or acquisitions of complimentary brands.

In addition to Allyson’s 4-year slot on Sky News Business Report programme as the “Muse of Marketing,” she appears as a regular and frequent marketing expert on CNN’s World Business and Business International programmes.  Recent conference appearances include Economist Conferences Marketing Directors’ Forum, Management Centre Europe’s Global Conference on Marketing, as well as for The Law Society, Conference Board, Institute of Directors, Professional Services Marketing Group and American Marketing Association on a variety of global marketing trends and developments.

Typical client consulting assignments include:

  • assessing and devising business development programmes to generate new leads
  • developing value propositions to re-orient Sales and Marketing staff away from product/service features
  • developing and delivering customised management development and executive coaching programmes in the Marketing and Business Development arenas
  • developing and implementing international marketing strategies on an interim management basis

As well as being listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who Among Women, Allyson has been widely interviewed in The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Newsweek and Fortune magazines, as well as her monthly column in Marketing News magazine.

Allyson is an active member of the Marketing Society, Chartered Institute of Marketing, American Marketing Association, Institute of Directors and Institute of Management Consultants.

Allyson is a US citizen from Los Angeles, California and is a UK Permanent Resident.
