Located in the picturesque resort of Meribel in the French Alps, the Altitude Comedy festival - touted as the Edinbugh Festival up in the mountains - has much more to offer than a night of giggles.
Skiiers and snowboarders have the day to brush up on the skills (or aquire some if they're newcomers to snow-capped fun), and then enjoy a selection of the finest British and French comedians in the evening followed by bands and DJs late into the night.
This year Al Murray will be headlining while Newton Faulker and DJ Yoda will be performing in the alpine ski resort of Meribel. Other acts include Rufus Hound, Rich Hall, 4 Poofs & A Piano, The Dub Pistols Sound System, The Cuban Brothers, and Honey Fungus.
The festival, which was started three years ago, is organised by comedians Marcus Brigstocke and Andrew Maxwell. Both started off doing gigs on the Alpine comedy circuit before deciding to put on their own event instead.
The comedy shows are delivered in English, French and 'Franglais Chaud', where English-speaking comics have to perform in French and French ones in English.
Andrew Maxwell promises any new visitors a wonderful time: "Meribel is a very beautiful resort. During the day there'll be winter sport when you'll attempt not to break yourself and for apres ski you can have something to drink and then enjoy the comedy and bands and djs until late into the night."
As for his tips for which acts to check out: "Howard Marks is going to do a tiny book reading in a cheese restaurant and Newton Faulkner will be performing a very special acoustic gig - it's going to be great."
But that's not all! For those not trying to break any extreme sports records, there's also lots of fun events going on during the week-long festival.
"We always try to have various silly events like the world's largest snowball fight. Last year we had a massive treasure hunt which just ended up being drunken fun."
Unfortunately, Eddie Izzard won't be performing this year as rumours on the internet have suggested.
"Yeah, we nearly had him. He's a big snowboarder and he speaks French but he had to go back to the States to do something. There's plenty of other stuff on offer though!"
Altitude Festival takes place from March 20th to 26th
