A man using a winged jetpack completed an 11 minute flight over the iconic skyline of Rio de Janeiro. Former fighter pilot Yves ‘Jetman’ Rossy, dropped from a helicopter over Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, and soared across blue skies to circle the city's famous statue of Christ.
He then tracked south of the Brazilian city to fly over Ipanema, Copacabana, and past Sugar Loaf Mountain, before pulling his parachute and landing on Copacabana beach.
Jetman is the first man in the world to attach jet engines to a single wing and fly like Icarus. He is a unique and popular after dinner speaker.
