Valery Giscard d’Estaing Talks Political Organization in Europe

Valery Giscard d’Estaing, keynote speaker and former President of France, visited Peking University to attend the opening ceremony for the Global Public Policy Executive Training Program, to discuss the Political Organization of Europe.

In his speech entitled “The Problem of the Political Organization of Europe”, Giscard d’Estaing introduced the history of the European Union.

He claims that although the EU has created enormous opportunities for its members, it is faced with complicated challenges, such as the dilemma between sovereignty and unity.
