Christian O'Connell is one of radio’s most in demand and highly regarded presenters. On the corporate circuit, he is available as a facilitator and awards host.
With over eight Sony Golds to his name (radio’s Oscars) he presents the breakfast show on Absolute Radio (which used to be Virgin Radio) across the UK to millions. This year his show hit newspaper headlines and became the lead story on the News at Ten when David Cameron came on his show and used industrial language within the first five minutes!
He has also interviewed Chris Martin, Simon Cowell, Bono, Mr T and once former Prime Minister, Tony Blair called Christian live during his award winning competition Whose Calling Christian?
Other interviewees include The Fonz Henry Winkler, William Shatner and Liam Gallagher. Christian is famed for putting his guests at ease and getting more from them than other DJ's.
He also presented a weekend show for BBC Radio 5 Live called the Christian O'Connell Solution where each week Christian and three guests try and solve the week's problems. From Global warming to ways to de-posh David Cameron, the show has become appointment radio bringing in guests like David Tennant, Bob Mortimer and Alan Davies. Christian also fronted the much talked about Fighting Talk for 5 Live for which he won a Sony Gold Award.
Christian's style is warm, funny and extremely quick witted. He has also presented TV shows for Sky 1 (Christian O'Connells Sunday Service) and ITV (World Cuppa) and Channel 5 (Live with Christian O'Connell. Pub Ammo). He currently presents martial arts show for Bravo called BAMMA.
Christian regularly writes for various newspapers and magazines from The Sunday Times and GQ. His first book The Men Commandments came out to great reviews and is currently in development as a TV project.
