Mike Forde Biography
Mike Forde is one of the UK’s leading Sports Executives. He is widely recognized as a leading figure in the EPL and European Soccer for driving innovation and cutting edge methods to create a sustained business model for Elite Player Performance.
As a keynote speaker he impresses with his extensive and varied experience of other sports including basketball and tennis, and his strategies for managing one of the biggest brands in the world, including High Performance Cultures, Talent Management and the Business of Winning.
Background and career
Since August 2007 Mike has been employed as Director of Football Operations & Executive Club Director for Chelsea Football Club in the EPL, dealing with all areas of performance and team operations relating to the 1st team, including player recruitment; medical; sport science; psychology and performance analysis.
Between November 1999 and July 2007 he was Performance Director for Bolton Wanderers Football Club, also in the EPL. He has a BSc Sport Science from Liverpool John Moores University and an MSc Psychology & Sport from San Diego State University / Leeds Met University.
Mike also serves as a Non-Exec Director with Lawn Tennis Association / Wimbledon and has advised on High Performance Cultures and Talent Management across a variety of Global Sports including NFL, NBA, MLB, International Rugby Union; International Cricket and F1.
Mike is a sought after expert in Sports Business discussions, drawing on his elite experience to impart and develop wide ranging learning, integration and best practice in High Performance and its practical implications and transfer to the world of business.

Speakers Corner: How did the corporate speaking begin?
Mike Forde: Started out as a Management consultant in 1998 and part of the role was delivering speeches to management teams / board of directors.

Mike Forde: I spoke at the ‘Young Leaders of tomorrow’ conference at Westminster Abbey 10 years ago. It was a great theme and the message of sport and how it can be a vehicle to motivate and inspire people was a clear message in line with the inspirational individuals in the audience.
