Speakers Corner: How did the corporate speaking begin?

Nick Wheeler: It never really began. I just do things I think I will enjoy. I like speaking at events where people are interested in my story and what I have to say. I did a few and people kept asking me back.

Speakers Corner: Which event has been your favourite and why?

Nick Wheeler: Leaders in London 2007. I was sandwiched between Kofi Anan and Al Gore and beat them both on audience scoring.

Speakers Corner: If you could speak at any event, past or future, what would it be?

Nick Wheeler: I would have liked to have addressed the troops prior to the Battle of Agincourt. Henry V would take some beating!

Speakers Corner: Who would you most like to share a platform with?

Nick Wheeler: Michael Dell. We started our businesses at the same time and we are the same age. He has done rather better than me and I would like to get to the bottom of why!

Speakers Corner: What are your most frequently requested speaking topics?

Nick Wheeler: How you keep growing.

Speakers Corner: What do you do to ensure your presentation has a lasting impact?

Nick Wheeler: Keep the message simple. Too many people make too many things too complicated!

Speakers Corner: What can a typical corporate audience learn from your experiences?

Nick Wheeler: The self-belief that anything is possible.
