Shaun Williamson is the consummate all-rounder. Best known as Barry from Eastenders, the actor, singer, comedian and awards host is highly sought after on the after-dinner circuit.

Winner of ITV's Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes and Celebrity Mastermind, Shaun’s status as a household name was cemented with his stunning portrayal of Meatloaf on the reality show. Star of the West End’s Saturday Night Fever, and as the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, Shaun has demonstrated that his talents on-screen are equally impressive on stage. He also starred as Fagin in Oliver and as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls.

Winning acclaim for his appearance in Ricky Gervais’ Extras, and in Bremner, Bird and Fortune, Shaun has also appeared in The Ladykillers, and The Secret Policeman' Ball at the Royal Albert Hall, and in 2007 he released his film Daylight Robbery, after taking part in Fame Academy for Comic Relief.

In 2013 he appeared in a sketch for Russell Howard's Good News, and was the subject of This Is Your Life.

Interview with Shaun Williamson

Question:

What do you feel is your greatest achievement?

Answer:

Getting into Drama School at the ripe age of 27. When I was 27 I was stacking shelves in Safeways. At 30 I was in Eastenders. Not bad going!

Question:

How do you like to spend your weekends?

Answer:

Power walking in the countryside followed by traditional pursuits: Eating and Drinking. I enjoy playing Darts and Quizzing.

Question:

You've appeared extensively on both TV and in the theatre, which do you prefer?

Answer:

TV for exposure but theatre for the buzz. You can't beat being in a really good musical. I love singing.

Question:

What piece of technology could you not live without?

Answer:

Could live without all of it! Technophobe! I suppose Radio.
