Anneka Rice Makes TV Comeback

28 August 2012

After 17 years away from TV screens, former Treasure Hunt presenter Anneka Rice is in talks with the BBC about fronting at least two new prime-time shows.

Rice, awards host and energetic TV presenter famous for leaping out of helicopters in 1980s TV show Treasure Hunt, is hoping to relaunch her career and will star in "at least two" new BBC shows.
The shows will be magazine-style programme, focusing on lifestyle and arts topics, according to the Telegraph.

Rice became a TV star in 1983 with the quiz show Treasure Hunt. In 1989 she launched her own programme, Challenge Anneka, where she solved problems for a community or charity, usually involving building new facilities for free.
