Comedy drew in some of the biggest ratings this Christmas with BBC One sitcoms taking the highest slots on December 24th.
Outnumbered took the top slot on Christmas Eve with 9.1 million people watching, beating all the soaps for that day.
Mrs Brown’s Boys also proved extremely popular drawing in 8.9 million viewers, the same amount as EastEnders viewers but 100,000 more than Coronation Street.
On Christmas Day, another comedy ruled the ratings. The Royle Family took in 7.68 million viewers, making it the third most viewed show of the day, after Coronation Street with 8.58 million viewers and EastEnders with 9.4 million.
