Mock the Week
BBC 2's top-rated comedy show, Mock the Week returns for its 7th series. The show is combines a panel show with stand-up comedy, games and roll play.
Irish comedian Dara O'Briain hosts the programme with regular contributors including comedians Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Andy Parsons and Hugh Dennis. Over the years, Mock The Week has been a career springboard for a huge number of comedians including Michael McIntyre, David Mitchell, John Oliver, Stewart Francis, Mark Watson, Lucy Porter and Rhod Gilbert as well as a platform for established names such as Ed Byrne, Gina Yashere, Greg Proops and Fred MacAulay to flex their topical muscles.
Entrepreneurs will be pitching for investment again from five of Britain's top business brains as James Caan, Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones take their seats in the warehouse. Online Dragons, Shaf Rasul and Julie Meyer will listen to the pitches and be making comment online.
Bang Goes the Theory
A new Tomorrow's World type BBC1 science series is launching today in a live promotional slot between The One Show and East Enders.
The brand new series with a hands-on approach to science is presented by Jem Stansfield, Liz Bonnin, Dallas Campbell and Dr Yan Wong who will pool their knowledge and curiosity to challenge the scientific principles that shape our world.
The series, co-produced with The Open University (OU), will be supported by free events and an interactive website and will encourage people to do real sciience online and at home and get involved.
