Rich Hall is set to start his 2013 tour in February in London.
Stand up comedian and awards host Rich Hall is due to start his new tour, having recently announced that he will also be performing at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre in Newcastle for one night only. He will be performing his stand up show, An Evening with Rich Hall at various venues until May this year, including Scarborough, Redditch and Armagh in Ireland.
Rich Hall appeared as his alter ego, Otis Lee-Crenshaw in 1998 and as a result took his act to the Edinburgh Festival, where he won the Perrier Award in 2000. Since, Rich has had sell out Edinburgh Festival performances and sell out tours.
Rich has also become known for his television work. He has featured in documentaries including Election Special: One Bullet One Vote, How the West was Lost, Rich Hall: Hell No I Ain’t Happy, Rich Hall’s the Dirty South, Rich Hall’s Continental Drifters and most recently, Rich Hall’s Inventing the Indian. He has also appeared regularly on Stand Up For the Week, QI, Live At the Apollo, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
He is known and loved for his dry, sarcastic wit, fitting in very much with English-style humour with his dark comedy and grumpy stories. The Evening Standard has described Rich’s style of comedy as, ‘Intelligent, passionate and angry’, whilst The Scotsman has said that his comedy, ‘Creeps up on you and ambushes your funny bone like no one else’.
