An Interview With Atul Kochhar

1 January 2012

Why should an organiser hire you to speak at their event?

One should hire me for knowledge on food, my easy personality and ability to make people laugh yet interested in the subject I am talking about.

Can you remember your first speaking engagement?

My first speaking engagement was at a meeting of “Leading Hotels of the World” on a very critical topic of “Chef Vs Manager”.

Which event has been your favourite and why?

Giving a talk at Culinary Institute of America has been an honor and privilege. The auditorium was full of chefs, hoteliers and people from trade that really bring change in catering industry. It was nerving – but great fulfillment.

If you could speak at any event, past or future, what would it be?

I would have loved to give a talk on multiethnic Britain, its values and contribution to secular world at the time London was bidding for Olympic 2012.

Which speaker/performer do you most admire and why?

Anthony Robinson – his passionate way of presenting and getting across is inspirational.
