A warm, funny and hugely successful business leader, Cally Beaton has spent the past 3 decades working in high profile roles in the international media - most recently as Senior Vice President at US studio giant Viacom, and notably as the youngest ever board member at Carlton Television, part of ITV, in the early 00’s.
At Viacom, Cally oversaw a multi-million dollar budget and the global roll-out of hit shows like South Park, Sponge Bob Square Pants and Catfish on behalf of brands including MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount and Nickelodeon. She combined working with creative, development and on-screen talent with monetizing content and commercial success.
Working for nearly two decades closely with Comedy Central inspired Cally to embark on a double life as a stand-up 4 years ago. She now enjoys a successful career as a jobbing comedian at clubs up and down the country and abroad. Her debut show at the Edinburgh Fringe was a sell-out last year, and her radio and television appearances including BBC2’s QI and Radio 4’s The Museum of Curiosity.
An in-demand MC and after dinner speaker, Cally knows how to work a room. She delivers speeches and keynotes across a range of subjects including:
What the most successful people do at work, inspirational leadership, taking the fear out of stress, imposter syndrome, communication, influencing & negotiation and managing multi-dimensional careers.
Drawing on her gloriously unorthodox, double-life as a business leader and perfomer, Cally is able to strike the perfect balance between professionalism and comedy, and can be relied on to deliver smart, bespoke, funny curation of even the most challenging events.
