Which event has been your favourite and why?

GQ Awards because its glitzy, glam, fun, uncensored and raucous.

How did the corporate speaking start?

Having presented lots of awards at BIFA and BAFTA the BIFA’s asked me to host 6 years ago, and someone from the corporate world saw that, and my agent then started putting me forward.

Can you remember your first speaking engagement?

A Music Magazine Awards.

If you could speak at any event, past or future, what would it be?

Host the BAFTAs - or win a BAFTA!

Who would you most like to share a platform with?

I would like to host awards with Billy Crystal.

On average, how many times a year do you speak at corporate events?

Around 5.

How do you like to be introduced?

All the way from Ireland; Jimmy Nesbitt.

What are the most asked for topics?

Funny anecdotes, unless the event organiser specifically asks for something.

Is your speech at all interactive with audience participation?

No but it could be!

Your favourite film?

The Godfather Part II.

Favourite book?

Catcher in the Rye.

Favourite holiday destination?

It has to be Ireland.

What’s your tipple?

Definitely wine.

Country – always country!
