An Interview With Sian Jones

1 January 2012

Q: If you could speak/present at any event, past or future, what would it be?

Any Global Climate Change Summit

Q: How did the corporate presenting start?

After a period of 5 years as a TV presenter in Hong Kong, I returned to the UK and became a freelance; first for Bloomberg, CNBC, Sky, the ITV News Channel and Channel 5. Corporate presentation requests began when I was freelancing reading the ITV Morning News and have continued to grow ever since.

Q: Can you remember your first corporate event?

Yes, it was when I was still in Hong Kong and was working for Cartoon Network. I was sent to India, for the launch of ‘Toon Cricket, a CN initiative to raise awareness of the company’s commitment to its Asia Pacific market and underprivileged children In Mumbai and Delhi.

Q: Tell us about it?

I addressed the audience at the conference who were mainly Indian journalists, whilst a team, which included a life sized Fred Flintstone and Muttley, played cricket in 40 degree heat.

Q: Which corporate event has been your favourite to date and why?

The EON Environment Summit comes pretty high up, as it tackled a subject close to my heart and the speakers were superb. It was refreshing to hear how such a powerful organisation were taking responsibility for their own part in the problem, at long last.

Q: Who would you most like to share a platform with?

Rory Bremner -- I heard him on the radio the other day and was just bowled over by his energy, talent and humour.
