Jo Brand

Since transitioning from psychiatric nursing in 1988, Jo Brand has become a celebrated figure in UK comedy, with a significant presence both on the comedy circuit and at The Edinburgh Festival. Her television debut on "Friday Night Live" led to successive projects, including her own shows "Through the Cakehole" and "All the Way to Worcester," which were critically acclaimed.

Jo has graced a variety of TV programmes, from "Question Time" and "QI" to "The Graham Norton Show," and is a frequent guest host on "Have I Got News For You." Her dedication to Comic Relief is notable; she has participated in numerous charity specials, including a 140-mile walk from Hull to Liverpool raising £1.2 million.

Her BAFTA-winning series "Getting On," drew from her nursing background, showcasing her talents as a writer and actor. Other TV credits include "Horrid Henry," "Splash," and hosting "The Great British Bake Off – An Extra Slice."

Jo's writing career is equally robust, with several comedy books and novels to her name. Her 2018 film adaptation "The More You Ignore Me" won Best Comedy at The National Film Awards. She also excels as a corporate event host and speaker, bringing her sharp wit and extensive experience to every engagement.
