Since transitioning from psychiatric nursing in 1988, Jo Brand has become a celebrated figure in UK comedy, with a significant presence both on the comedy circuit and at The Edinburgh Festival. Her television debut on "Friday Night Live" led to successive projects, including her own shows "Through the Cakehole" and "All the Way to Worcester," which were critically acclaimed.

Her dedication to Comic Relief is notable; she has participated in numerous charity specials, including a 140-mile walk from Hull to Liverpool raising £1.2 million.
