The stands have been dismantled, promotional sweets and flowers have found new homes, shoes have been removed and feet well and truly put-up. Yes Confex International 2015 wrapped up last night after two very busy days.
It is the UK’s leading and long standing event for the MICE industry and is the focal point for thousands of event buyers - professional and commercial conference and exhibition organisers, corporates, agencies and associations seeking venue, destination and supplier inspiration.
This year saw the event share space with the Event Production Show with ITCM reporting 'that organisers have reported a strong first day with excellent visitor footfall and feedback from exhibitors wholly positive'.
The team at Speakers Corner were responsible for supplying the keynote speakers for the event this year with entrepreneurs: Louise Fowler and Gerald Ratner; designer Wayne Hemingway and arguable 'national treasure' Clare Balding, speaking.
All the speakers generated a good amount of positive feedback on Twitter. Confex themselves said it was ‘standing room only’ for Clare Balding’s speech; venue City of London Club highlighted the ‘great seminars and inspirational speakers’ adding later they ‘always enjoy Confex and it is the speakers that make it...'; and event organiser, Jade Ingham-Mulliner, tweeted ‘I got the chance to see @clarebalding present at @IntlConfex today! Hugely motivational & highly entertaining! #inspirationalwomen'.
Manager Tim Gold who was at the event across the two days said 'It was my pleasure to be a part of Confex and the Event Production Show over the last two days, especially having the privilege to see a packed keynote theatre with industry peers watching our speakers in action. We met lots of existing clients, some new faces, had lots of caffeine and were left with slightly sore feet but a happy faces'.
