The Fortune Global Conference gets under way today in San Francisco's grandest hotel, The Fairmont. The three-day event, running until close of business Wednesday, is Fortune’s main annual event which has been convening the world’s presidents, chair people and CEOs for the last 20 years.
This year’s event theme is: Winning in the Disruptive Century which will draw “upon the entrepreneurial spirit of Silicon Valley to explore the implications of disruptive technology trends for the 21st century corporation”.
Continuing with the overall theme, topics include: Cyber Security: Practical Advice for CEOs; Media & Technology: Fast & Furious; The Now & Future of Mobile; Navigating Global Volatility and Sharing Disruption: Are You Next?
Known for attracting some of the world’s best speakers, this year is no exception with Google co-founder Larry Page speaking along with IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, Cisco executive chairman John Chambers, Levi Strauss CEO Chip Bergh, Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, to name a few.
