Inspirational Olympic sportsman James Cracknell introduces a new film about Captain Scott’s ill-fated Expedition to the Antarctic of 1910, which ended with the death of Scott and four other crew members.
The film, Great White Silence, shown on Discovery, features amazing footage from the most famous polar journey of all time.
Cracknell adds his own perspective on trekking to the Antarctic today. In 2009 the Olympic rower took part in a charity race to the Pole with fellow adventurer Ben Fogle. Both Cracknell and Fogle have inspired and motivated thousands by speaking about their experiences at corporate events.
