NIGELLA Lawson is back for a new series which promises to spice up Monday nights over the next few months. She will be offering a large portion of tips and ideas on how to make great food without spending hours slaving away in the kitchen.
“I am forever dashing about trying to get everything done, what with work, children and various duties and obligations,” says our Nige.
“But – and it’s a big but – I need to eat, and I need to eat well.
“Plus, I love to feed people. And since I keep notes of every meal I ever cook, I suddenly realised that here, in my notebook, were the makings of a series that responded to the demands of modern, everyday life.”
In the first helping, she explains how to make roast poussin with sweet potatoes and sugar snap peas. We also get the lowdown on watercress salad with wasabi dressing, crispy squid with garlic mayo and mustard pork chops with gnocchi.
All you need to do is make a few notes and nip down to the supermarket before having a go yourself.
