Former Wimbledon champion and awards host, Pat Cash, defeated the Dutch tennis player, Richard Krajicek at the Aegon Masters Championship.
Retired champions return to tennis to play in the highly regarded Aegon Masters Championships in the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Pat beat Krajicek in a three set match, losing the first set 6-7 and coming back to win the next two sets 6-4 and 10-6 in the Champions tie-break. The score reflects that it was a close match between the two former Wimbledon Champions.
Pat outplayed Krajicek in the last two sets, which led him to his victory, the Dutch player did not find his match against Pat easy stating “It's much more difficult to serve and volley now because you play on different surfaces, and the game has changed”.
Pat was up against tennis legend John McEnroe in the next round of the tournament.
