In Event News, TED 2015 is underway in Vancouver and Whistler, running from the 16-20th March.
This year’s TED tagline is Truth or Dare with curators: Brit computer journalist and speaker, Chris Sanderson, and TED Content Director, Kelly Stoetzel, coming up with the title - when deciding the line-up - in wanting to challenge ‘perceived facts’ in the world and debunk myths with Anderson adding “We thought of TED’s role as going deeper — going behind surface truth, resetting people’s ideas.”
This year’s line-up is numbered at 58 speakers who are drawn from scientific, cultural and/or academic backgrounds who include Bill Gates, Monica Lewinsky and neuroscientist, David Eagleman, with music from Mexican acoustic guitar duo, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and indie’s dark princes Slint.
The event ends this Friday with live video being available throughout along with being able to access TED’s extensive video library after the talk.
