The Apprentice Returns for 2013

8th May 2013

The 2013 series of The Apprentice has begun and Lord Alan Sugar had this year’s hopefuls selling a host of items including toilet roll, high visibility jackets and Chinese lucky cat statuettes.

The Apprentice is now in its 9th year and the first episode saw the 16 contestants split into two teams, boys versus girls and the teams were expected to sell products in Essex. The boys were the winners of the task and therefore the girl’s team was asked back into the boardroom where viewers saw Lord Alan fire his first contestant.

This year’s contestants appear to be the most glamorous we have seen, the girls appeared with huge hair, high heels and glossy pouts. Meanwhile the boys looked sharp with slicked back hair and some were sporting plucked eyebrows.

Karren Brady and Nick Hewer have also returned to help Lord Alan by overseeing the tasks and reporting back to him about how the contestants coped under pressure.

The next few weeks will see the last 15 contestants battle it out to win the position as Lord Alan’s future apprentice.
